EXCLUSIVE: FC PORTO SIGN NIGERIAN PROSPECT MOSES JOHN
Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that Moses caught the attention of scouts from the Portuguese side during a recent tournament organised by Gee-Lec Football Academy in Abuja, same tournament from which FC Porto got their latest defence sensation Chidozie Awaziem 18 months ago.
He has already submitted his international passport to the Portuguese Embassy in Abuja and will be issued an entry visa before the end of this month in order for him to travel for a routine medical before signing a long term deal.
18 year old Moses is a forward who can play anywhere in attack due to his pace and skills however he is more comfortable playing as a top striker and that was the role he played the few times he was watched by scouts of FC Porto.
Represented by popular Nigerian player agent Babawo Mohammed he will join the first team of FC Porto in pre season training and if he impresses the technical crew he will remain with the main team although he is expected to play more for the B team who are in the second division.

The Mutunchi Academy trainee was sighted by scouts of Ajax Amsterdam during a game for his school team in England as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com.
Mahmoud impressed handlers of the team during a short trial and was subsequently handed a contract which will become valid once he turns 18 in two years time.
He will however spend more time with Ajax Academy in South Africa due to visa issues, but his progress will be monitored by the club, and he will travel and train with the B team in Amsterdam before he turns 18.
” He has agreed a pre contract with Ajax, which will metamorphose into a full contract once he turns 18. He will be 16 later in the year so let’s say in two years time”, Auwal Mutunchi the president of his nursery team in Nigeria Mutunchi Academy told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” For the main time he won’t be in Amsterdam due to visa issues, so he will spend more time with Ajax franchise in South Africa, Ajax Capetown. They will monitor his progress during his time there.
” During his stay there he will travel to Amsterdam and train with the B team. We are all happy for him. He truly deserve this chance”.
