Manu Garba Returns As U17 Coach, Maikaba Appointed U20 Coach, Aigbogun Gets U23




The Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) have concluded discussions on the coaches of the various male youth teams of Nigeria ‎namely the Under-17, 20 and 23.
Manu Garba has been handed back the job of the coach of the Nigeria U17 team, and the soft spoken coach who excelled i‎n the role in 2013, when he lead Nigeria to the World Youth Championship title has already started the job of scouting for players.
Under his tutelage, Nigeria failed to qualify for the last edition of the U17 championship losing to Niger Republic during the qualifiers for the African edition of the championship, which also serves as the qualifiers for the U17 World Championship.
Coach Abdullahi Maikaba who was earlier announced as the U17 coach ‎by the NFF will handle the U20’s popularly called the Flying Eagles, and his main task will be to return them back to the their position in Africa and in the World after their failure to qualify for the African and World Championship last time out.
The Nigeria U23s, which is the team that plays at the Olympic games are going to be under the tutelage of the coach of Enyimba FC of Aba, Paul Aigbogun.
An official announcement will be made soon by the NFF but Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that all the above mentioned coaches have been contacted by the football house in Nigeria on their recent appointment.
