World cup 2018, England outclass Sweden to advance to world cup semi-finals

Perhaps football is coming home after all. After discarding some early jitters England found their feet in Samara against Sweden, with headers from the other Harry - Maguire, not Kane - and Dele Alli securing a 2-0 win and booking England's place in their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.
Maguire's first goal for his country after half an hour came from a corner - as has been the way for England with set-pieces at this World Cup - and Gareth Southgate's side could have had more after Raheem Sterling missed the target on two occasions.
Alli's header after 58 minutes then secured a deserved victory, unmarked and knocking in a Kieran Trippier cross. Jordan Pickford was called upon to make a pair of outstanding saves and along with Maguire, Tripper and Jordan Henderson led the way for an England side who continue to grow in confidence.
