A back-to-back victory against the Mediterranean Knights will brighten the changes of Gernot Rohr’s men securing a place in Afcon 2019 tournament

Nigeria must approach Libya game with ‘caution’, warns Garba Lawal

Former Nigeria international Garba Lawal has urged the Super Eagles to approach Libya with ‘caution’ when they meet in Tuesday’s Group E African Cup of Nations qualifiers tie in Tunisia.
Gernot Rohr’s men cruised to a commanding 4-0 victory in the first leg at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday.
The win saw them climb to the second spot in the group standings with six points from three games, one point adrift of South Africa.
A back-to-back victory over the Mediterranean Knights will brighten the Super Eagles’ chances of securing a place in Cameroon next year after missing out on the last two editions of the tournament.
And the former winger, delighted with the showing in Uyo, has highlighted areas the three-time African champions must work on.
“We won the game fantastic. They did not expect we are going to score four goals against them which is massive,” Lawal told Goal.
