Chelsea FC will be “kicking themselves” over collapse of Jules Kounde transfer

Former Liverpool wing-back Glen Johnson has said Chelsea will be 'kicking themselves' after missing out on Jules Kounde this summer, but he still thinks they could win the title

Thomas Tuchel's side had been tracking the Frenchman all summer, but they failed to match Sevilla's valuation of the centre-back.

The Spanish side had set a deadline for Kounde, 22, that Chelsea missed before asking for his release clause on Transfer Deadline Day, which Chelsea opted not to match.

And Johnson believes that the Blues should have pushed more for the Frenchman's signature.

And the former Liverpool wing-back recently spoke to bettingodds.com about Kounde's proposed move to Chelsea.
