Ighalo Declares Al-Hilal Remainder League Games ‘Six More Finals’

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has declared Al-Hilal’s remaining six matches in the Saudi Professional League as “finals”.

Ighalo joined Al-Hilal from Al-Shabab in January this year, and has been instrumental to the former’s push for the league title, netting eight goals in eight matches and registering two assists.

The 32-year-old striker scored for the club in their 2-4 win at Damac last Friday. They travel to Ettifaq on Wednesday for their outstanding game, and face the league leaders, Al-Ittihad, who are leading the table by nine points, on Sunday.

A win for Al-Hilal against Al-Ittihad will cut the lead to just six points with four matches to go.

Reacting in a social media post after the win over Damac, the former Manchester United attacker wrote: “6 more finals vamos @alhilal.f.c.”

Al-Hilal are just one point above third-placed Al-Nassr, who once contracted the services of Eagles captain Ahmed Musa.
