Super Eagles Will Work Hard To Win Next AFCON — Collins

 

Jamilu Collins says the Super Eagles will give their all to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles rounded up their qualifying campaign in style, thrashing Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.

Jose Peseiro’s side will be among the 24 teams that will fight for honours at the 2023 AFCON finals which will be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire.

The three-time champions were knocked out in the Round of 16 in Cameroon 2021.

Collins however believes the Super Eagles can go all the way this time around.

“I strongly believe we can win the trophy in Cote d’Ivoire. We started well the last time in Cameroon, but unfortunately we couldn’t go far,” the Cardiff City star told Completesports.com.

“Next year in Cote d’Ivoire, we want things to be better. We will be aiming for the trophy and I strongly believe we can win it.
