Akpom Set To Join Ligue 1 Club Lille On Loan

 

Chuba Akpom is on the verge of sealing a loan move to Ligue 1 club, Lille, reports Completesports.com.

Lille, according to De Telegraaf have reached agreement with Eredivisie giants, Ajax for the forward’s transfer.

The Ligue 1 giants can also make the deal permanent in the summer for €12.5m.

Les Dogues will cover Akpom’s full salary for the entire loan period.

Lille will sanction Mohamed Bayo’s loan to Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp upon the striker’s capture.

Akpom has struggled to secure playing berth at Ajax following the presence of forwards Brian Brobbey and Wout Weghorst.

He joined the former European champions from Sky Bet Championship club Middlesbrough in 2023.
