LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp’s decision to take the Reds to Dubai is set to cost them the Premier League title, according to pundit Tony Cascarino.
Liverpool boss Klopp is hoping Manchester City slip up against Leicester tonight amid their hunt for the Premier League title.
The Reds currently sit two points clear at the top of the table - albeit having played one game more - having beaten Newcastle 3-2 on Sunday.
Liverpool have racked up a stunning 94 Premier League points and, most seasons, that would be enough to land the prize.
But with City firing on all cylinders, their efforts to land the trophy they crave above all look set to be in vain.
Yet when they returned, they slipped to 1-1 draws against Leicester and West Ham.
And Cascarino believes they lost as a result of their trip, telling The Times: “If Liverpool end up finishing second, it is easy to pinpoint the 2-1 defeat away to Manchester City as the moment they lost the title.
“But for me it was the two draws in the space of a week against Leicester City and West Ham United three months ago.
“Those matches came on the back of the club’s mid-season training camp in Dubai and in both games Liverpool took an early lead but they looked so flat.
