Nigeria vs South Africa: Rohr gets major boost as Mikel Obi returns to training

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi is in contention to feature for the side in Wednesday’s AFCON 2019 quarterfinal clash against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, has coach Gernot Rohr has hinted, 

Mikel picked up a knee injury in Nigeria’s last Group B match against Madagascar and was initially expected not to feature for the Super Eagles again in the remaining part of the competition as a result of the setback.

But the former Chelsea midfielder has made a quick recovery from the injury, handing the team a big boost ahead of the game
