Nigeria vs Tunisia: Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho receives praises in Super Eagles 1-0 win

Nigeria vs Tunisia's AFCON 2019 third place encounter ended 1-0 in favor of the Super Eagles - Odion Ighalo who plays for Chinese club Shanghai Greenland Shenhua scored the goal for Nigeria - Football fans however praised Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho for his superb performance against Tunisia Nigeria's Super Eagles on Wednesday night, July 17, beat Tunisia 1-0 to win bronze medal at the AFCON 2019 tournament in which striker Odion Ighalo scored the only goal. Odion Ighalo tapped home from close range in the third minute after a mix-up in the Tunisia defense to score his fifth goal at the 2019 African Cup of Nations. The former Watford striker is now expected to take home the golden boot unless Senegal forward Sadio Mane scores hat-trick in the AFCON final against Algeria. Although many Nigerians were disappointed that the Super Eagles had to settle for the third place after their 2-1 defeat against Algeria in the semifinal. Manchester City striker Riyad Mahrez scored the winning goal for Algeria at the death in what was a shocking defeat for the Super Eagles. However, Gernot Rohr's men knew that only a win over Tunisia can make them redeem themselves for their defeat against Algeria and they got it. Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho started the match for Nigeria after missing the last six games, and he did not disappoint thereby getting praises from fans. Some fans have now taken to social media to react to the performance of Uzoho against Tunisia with many asking Rohr why he has kept him on the bench for Akpeyi.
