AFCON 2023: Troost-Ekong, Sanusi Ruled Out Of Super Eagles Vs Guinea-Bissau

William Troost-Ekong has been ruled out of Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group A clash with Guinea-Bissau, 

Troost-Ekong, sustained a hamstring injury in Super Eagles’ 1-0 victory against hosts Cote d’Ivoire last week Thursday.

The centre-back scored the winning goal for Nigeria in the keenly contested encounter.

The PAOK Salonica of Greece player could be replaced in the starting line-up by Kenneth Omeruo.

Similarly, Left-back Zaidu Sanusi is also ruled out of the game after missing training on Sunday.

The Porto defender also sustained an injury in the victory over the Elephants.

The Super Eagles will take on the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Monday (today).
