AFCON 2023: Yobo Lauds Lookman’s Performance In Eagles’ Win Over Angola

 

Former Nigerian international, Joseph Yobo has lauded the performance of Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman in Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Angola in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recall that Lookman netted the only goal of the game in the first half, to send the Super Eagles to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The goal was Lookman’s third goal of the AFCON 2023 and remains the team’s top scorer.

Reacting after the team’s victory, Joseph Yobo, who was a guest in Afrosports AFCON coverage, said that the Atalanta star is having a tournament to remember.

“I am happy for Lookman at this tournament because he has been getting us the goals.

“This is his third goal in AFCON and I love the way he handled each game. His combination with Osimhen, has been great.”
