Arsenal make contact for Osimhen, as Gunners are set to rival Chelsea for Super Eagles ace

Premier League giants Chelsea and Arsenal have reportedly initiated contact for the transfer of Napoli's star striker, Victor Osimhen.

This development comes amidst the Nigerian international's recent hints of a potential departure from the Serie A club, despite signing a new contract with Napoli not long ago.

According to Rai (via CN24), the decision to renew Osimhen's contract was strategically planned, with the intention to sell him in the summer.

The contract includes a release clause applicable to clubs outside Italy. This clause plays a crucial role, as it opens the door for foreign clubs to bid for the prolific striker.

Premier League's Growing Interest

While Paris Saint-Germain's interest in Osimhen has been noted, Arsenal and Chelsea have taken proactive steps by reaching out to the player's representatives. Their interest signifies the high value placed on Osimhen in the transfer market and underlines the Premier League's reputation for attracting top talents.
