Nemanja Matic opens door to Man Utd exit during January transfer window

The midfielder is said to be sought by the likes of Atletico Madrid and he has admitted his future might not be at Old Trafford in the long term

Nemanja Matic has opened the door to a January exit from Manchester United .

Matic's deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season but he has admitted that he could make an early cut.

United would likely allow Matic to leave on a free, as opposed to taking a small fee, if he was to agree terms elsewhere.

He had made just eight appearances for United this season, with his only start coming in the 2-0 win over Burnley last weekend.

Atletico Madrid are believed to be among the teams interested in his services.
