Takumi Minamino gets chatty with Mohamed Salah as Liverpool signing trains for first time

Liverpool new boy Takumi Minamino has quickly acquainted himself with his new team-mates at Melwood.  Takumi Minamino has trained with his new Reds team-mates ahead of his January 1 move to Anfield and the Japan international seems to have taken a shine to Mohamed Salah. Jurgen Klopp will be hoping the duo can translate their budding friendship into top-quality on-field performances with Liverpool still targeting success on three fronts this season

Minamino was pictured stood alongside Liverpool forward Salah as Jurgen Klopp’s side made their way out for training at Melwood on Tuesday evening.

The Premier League leaders are not back in action until Thursday night’s showdown with Sheffield United and while the £7.25m signing is unlikely to feature, he’s clearly striking up a relationship with Salah.

The pair appeared to be in good spirits at Melwood, with Minamino and Salah both smiling as Liverpool got ready to host Chris Wilder’s Blades at Anfield.

Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian also gave Minamino a warm welcome, putting his arm round the 24-year-old, who was looked at by AC Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach before Michael Edwards swooped.
