  1. First, CAF knew the rules and could have ended the match earlier. However, because of the tension, penalties, and other factors, they allowed the game to continue.

  2. The referee’s decision is final. If CAF allowed the referee to continue the match, then that decision should stand.

  3. Morocco was later declared African champions after Senegal was stripped of the title. Yet CAF did not properly address key issues, such as the “towel incident” involving the goalkeeper and how the Moroccan team allegedly disrupted play against Senegal and even affected the Nigerian goalkeeper.

  4. Now many Africans feel that Morocco has too much influence within CAF, raising concerns about fairness and transparency in decision-making.
