  • THE BLUES have reportedly sent scouts to watch Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara take on Juventus tonight, according to Tuttosport.
Chelsea are looking to improve their defensive midfielder options with N'Golo Kante now being pushed further up the field.
With Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic's defensive capabilities lacking, a move for the former Napoli star would prove shrewd business.
But they will have to move quickly with Tottenham also targeting the 22-year-old Guinea international.

  • CHELSEA have been told to cough up £50million for Brighton defender Lewis Dunk, according to reports.
The Blues are looking for reinforcements in defence and see the Seagulls centre-back as a viable alternative to Antonio Rudiger, Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen.
Frank Lampard's side have struggled at the back but have a big budget to work with after their transfer ban.
And they have been told to dig deep if they want to sign the defender, who would cost them £50m, according to the Times.
Another option could be a player-plus-cash deal if any of their players wanted to be guaranteed first-team football on the South Coast.

ASTON VILLA debutant Danny Drinkwater trended on Twitter for his “disasterclass” as Chelsea's £30million flop was torn apart by both Manchester City and social media.
The former England midfielder was slated as “completely disinterested” and mocked as his blunder helped gift ex-Leicester team-mate Riyad Mahrez his second goal as Sergio Aguero's hat-trick led City's 6-1 romp.
Ex-Three Lions hero Gary Lineker led the digs by tweeting: “Mahrez and Drinkwater still playing well together.”
One fan joked: “Drinkwater's loan will be cancelled at half-time at this rate”.
Another claimed the 28-year-old was “still on hibernation mode”.
One said: “£140,000 a week – mind-blowing” – while a common opinion was: “He is as bad as Kevin De bruyne is good”.
