Truth about £7.5m transfer, Pablo Mari medical, Lemar update, Aubameyang warning

Just one more day and Arsenal are back in action as they face Bournemouth in the FA Cup fourth round tomorrow night.
All signs are pointing towards an exciting week for the Gunners.
Of course, progression in the FA Cup is the main target as it represents a great chance for Mikel Arteta to end his first season as head coach with a trophy he won in 2014 and 2015 as a player, but there will be one eye on transfers.
Deadline day is fast approaching and the north London outfit are yet to make a signing despite links to the likes of Dayot Upamecano, Adrien Rabiot and Jerome Boateng.
That statistic does look set to change in the coming days.
With that said, here's all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Truth about £7.5m transfer

Many Arsenal supporters would have woken up on Saturday morning bracing themselves for a transfer announcement.
According to reports in Brazil, the Gunners were closing on a deal for Pablo Mari and that 26-year-old had already bid farewell to his teammates as well as coaching staff at Flamengo and was on his way to London to complete a £7.5m transfer.
99.9 per cent of that was true.
Football.london confirmed that whilst interest in the Spaniard is true, it's not for a permanent transfer just yet.
The Gunners are working on a loan deal for Flamengo centre-back as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his central defensive options before the closure of the January transfer window.
